Care Camps Foundation Launches 2026 Compete for Kids Campaign With RVDA to Support Pediatric Cancer Camps

Care Camps Foundation will host its 2026 Compete for Kids campaign in June, partnering with the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA) to raise funds for pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada.

The month-long campaign coincides with National Camping Month and invites RV dealerships to participate in a friendly fundraising competition.

The initiative, first launched in 2025, provides camps for children with cancer and their families, offering outdoor experiences designed to promote healing, connection, and enjoyment.

In its inaugural year, Compete for Kids supported 125 camps and reached more than 47,000 children and family members.

“Care Camps Foundation is incredibly grateful for the remarkable support the RV industry has shown through Compete for Kids,” Jenna Berneck, development director at Care Camps Foundation, said in a press release.

“The willingness of RV dealerships to step forward, work together, and support camps that serve children with cancer and their families has been truly meaningful,” Berneck added.

The 2026 campaign emphasizes flexibility and accessibility, with no minimum fundraising requirement.

Dealerships can tailor participation to fit their teams and local communities, continuing the focus on industry-wide collaboration established in the first year.

Phil Ingrassia, president of RVDA, highlighted the alignment between the campaign and the RV industry’s connection to outdoor and family experiences.

“Compete for Kids is a natural fit for our industry, and we are proud to partner with Care Camps Foundation to help bring these camp experiences to children with cancer and their families,” he said.

Dealerships participating in 2025 were recognized during the RVDA Convention in Las Vegas, with Long View RV receiving top fundraiser honors.

Lexi Roberts of Long View RV described the experience as “incredibly rewarding for our team,” noting the campaign brought staff together around a meaningful cause.

Registration for the 2026 campaign is now open, and dealerships are encouraged to sign up through the campaign website to join the fundraising efforts.
