Blue Terra Management Acquires Boise/Meridian KOA Journey

Blue Terra Management has acquired the Boise/Meridian KOA Journey in Idaho, expanding the company’s outdoor hospitality portfolio to more than 1,250 RV sites across seven parks, resorts and campgrounds, according to Kampgrounds of America.

The Meridian campground adds a property in Idaho’s Treasure Valley to Blue Terra Management’s portfolio, with the company citing its location and opportunities to serve travelers and visitors exploring the region.

Blue Terra Management operates as an outdoor hospitality operating and investment platform, overseeing on-site management as well as revenue management, site optimization, business development, revenue mix optimization, financial reporting, budgeting, marketing, branding and asset management, according to KOA.

“The Boise/Meridian KOA Journey was a natural fit for Blue Terra Management because of its outstanding location and the strength of the KOA brand,” said Jake Fink, managing principal of Blue Terra Management.

“KOA has built an incredible reputation among campers, and we’re excited to continue that tradition while investing in improvements that enhance the guest experience and help introduce even more visitors to the Treasure Valley,” Fink added.

The campground is located near Interstate 84 and provides access to downtown Boise, Meridian, the Boise River Greenbelt, shopping, dining and outdoor recreation destinations.

The campground offers full-hookup RV sites, tent camping and lodging accommodations, as well as an indoor pool and spa, clubhouse, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi and a pavilion.

Blue Terra Management plans to add a splash pad as part of future improvements at the campground.

KOA said campgrounds such as the Boise / Meridian property contribute to local economies by supporting restaurants, retailers, attractions and recreation providers. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers spent $66 billion in local economies in 2025, with the average camper spending more than $200 per day while camping.

The report also found that 33% of campers were interested in visiting small towns and 38% were drawn to historic sites.

The Boise / Meridian KOA Journey is one of more than 500 open-to-the-public KOA campgrounds in the United States and Canada. The property, at 184 W. Pennwood Street in Meridian, is open year-round.
