RMS Appoints Rich Steers as Chief Product & Technology Officer to Lead Product Innovation Strategy

RMS has appointed Rich Steers as its chief product and technology officer, expanding its executive leadership team as the hospitality technology company increases its focus on product innovation, artificial intelligence and global growth.

Steers brings more than 25 years of experience in software-as-a-service product development, engineering and technology leadership.

In the newly created role, he will oversee RMS’ global product and technology strategy, with responsibility for advancing the platform’s transition from what the company describes as a system of record to a system of intelligent action.

According to RMS, Steers will lead initiatives aimed at accelerating product innovation, improving customer experience and developing connected technologies designed to help accommodation providers operate more efficiently and grow their businesses.

He will work alongside Chief Executive Officer Adam Seskis and the executive leadership team as the company continues investing in AI, automation, payments and connected hospitality solutions.

Before joining RMS, Steers served as chief product and technology officer at ROLLER, where he led global product and engineering teams developing AI-powered solutions and enterprise software for attractions and entertainment businesses.

Earlier in his career, Steers held senior technology and product leadership positions across the hospitality, financial technology and enterprise software sectors. His experience includes overseeing e-commerce, customer data platforms, loyalty programs, payments, platform integrations and content management systems.

He also founded, scaled and exited a hospitality point-of-sale software company before moving into executive leadership roles.

“We’re delighted to welcome Rich to RMS at such an exciting stage of our growth,” Adam Seskis, chief executive officer of RMS, said.

“Rich has an exceptional track record of building world-class product and engineering organisations, delivering innovative technology that solves real customer challenges. His leadership, customer-first mindset and deep experience scaling SaaS businesses make him an outstanding addition to our executive team as we continue to redefine what’s possible for hospitality operators around the world,” Seskis added.

Steers said he was attracted by the company’s technology roadmap and customer focus.

“RMS has built an incredibly strong platform with a clear vision for the future of hospitality technology,” Steers said. “I look forward to working with our customers and partners to continue delivering innovative solutions that simplify operations, create better guest experiences, and help hospitality businesses grow.”

RMS said it supports more than 6,000 properties across 70 countries and will continue investing in technology and executive leadership as it expands its global hospitality platform.
