Campspot, the largest booking site for private campgrounds in North America, has revealed the winners of its 2023 Campspot Awards, which recognizes the best campgrounds in the U.S. and Canada.
According to a release, the awards, comprising 12 categories, celebrate exceptional campground experiences that cater to all types of outdoor enthusiasts.
The winners were selected through a rigorous process that evaluated over 70,000 data points, including bookings, reviews, and category-specific factors.
Campspot also invited the camping community to vote on their favorite campgrounds and partnered with camping experts to score and select the remaining winners based on uniqueness, listing completion, and overall appeal.
“The 2023 Campspot Awards are a celebration of everything that makes the camping industry so awesome. They not only provide an important opportunity to recognize those campgrounds owners, operators, and staff who strive to provide special camping experiences to their guests, but they also serve as inspiration for the many travelers looking to book their spring and summer trips now,” said Erin Stender, CMO of Campspot.

Among the winners are Indian River RV Resort, On the Saco Family Campground, The Nugget RV Resort, Otahki Lake Cabins & Campground, Stonebridge RV Resort, Dark Sky RV Campground, Pecan Park, Kootenai River Campground, Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground, and Jellystone Park: Memphis. Each campground boasts unique features and amenities that cater to the needs of different types of travelers.
For other campground owners and operators, the Campspot Awards serve as a benchmark of excellence, providing insights into what makes a great campground experience.
