Alliance RV recently hosted a Level 1 training program in partnership with the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), focusing on building technical skills among its female employees through a standardized certification curriculum.
The program centered on the RVTI’s Level 1 certification, which covers seven core RV systems: propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis.
The training was delivered by instructors from both organizations and aimed to provide participants with foundational competencies aligned with industry standards.
The initiative reflects a broader effort to strengthen workforce capabilities within Alliance RV, particularly in technical roles that support pre-delivery inspections and product readiness. By aligning training with nationally recognized certification standards, the company seeks to ensure consistency in technical knowledge across its workforce.
Halle Howard, account manager for the RVTI and a member of the RVWA, said the collaboration supports skill development and confidence among participants.
“We have enjoyed collaborating with Alliance RV and the RV Women’s Alliance to lead these all-women’s courses,” Howard said in a News and Insights report of RVIA on April 21. These opportunities equip more women with the skills to succeed and foster enhanced confidence.”
Alliance RV Quality Director Charles Briggs also said external training programs play a critical role in keeping employees current with evolving industry requirements.
“As our industry continues to evolve, it’s essential that our team members stay current with the latest technologies, standards, and best practices,” Briggs said.
He added that outside training provides “a broader perspective, exposure to industry-wide advancements, and access to specialized expertise.”
Briggs said the training aligns with the company’s operational standards and supports long-term workforce development goals. “These programs reinforce technical skills, promote consistency, and support professional development in a way that directly benefits both our workforce and the customers we serve,” he said.
Joe Mehl, vice president of marketing at Alliance RV, said the company views education as central to both employee performance and customer experience.
“Education is really the foundation of everything we do at Alliance RV,” Mehl said, noting that increasing consumer knowledge has raised expectations for product understanding among staff.
