Parkdean Resorts executives will put £150,000 in investment to a South Ayrshire holiday park for the Sundrum Castle site.
Six improved caravans with WiFi will replace the existing fleet. The holiday park also had a record level of 23,000 guests last year and advance bookings for this year.
The investment is included in a £140-million fund across the United Kingdom by Parkdean with over 850 caravans and lodges at 16 parks.
Parkdean Resorts Chief Executive Steve Richards said the investment is “great news” for Ayrshire.
“By investing in our parks, we’re not only improving the guest experience, we’re also ensuring that holidaymakers keep coming back year after year, spending money in local shops, attractions, pubs, and restaurants, and supporting the communities that rely so heavily on tourism,” said Richards.
“2021 was a huge year for staycations, and our teams will continue to go above and beyond to deliver phenomenal service to our guests, making sure that 2022 is even better.”
Parkdean is the leading operator of holiday parks in the UK, welcoming more than 3.5 million tourists each year. They own and operate 66 parks with Sundrum being a key part of their estate.
