The conference draws campground owners and industry experts nationwide to share insights, build connections, and explore innovative solutions for outdoor hospitality.
Day 3: Tackling Industry Challenges, Legal Insights, and Expert Advice for Campground Success
On Day 3, attendees participated in a panel discussion that delved into the hot issues and challenges facing the outdoor hospitality industry at both provincial and national levels. Leaders from provincial and national associations shared insights into ongoing projects and advocacy efforts.
The discussion also provided key information about Bill C-410 and its potential impact on campgrounds. It was an essential session for campground owners who wanted to stay informed about industry trends and legal matters affecting their businesses.
A standout breakout session titled “An Accountant, a Lawyer, a Banker, and an Insurance Agent – What They Need You to Know” brought together industry professionals who provided expert advice on critical business matters. The session also included a valuable Q&A segment, where attendees could ask questions directly to the experts.
Another key session on Day 3 was focused on “Legally Difficult Situations,” where a moderated panel discussed critical legal concerns in campgrounds. Representatives from law enforcement agencies, including the Ontario Provincial Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Niagara Regional Police, provided valuable insights on handling these serious issues.
Day 2: Data-Driven Decisions and Celebrating Ontario’s Campground Excellence
Day 2 kicked off with an insightful breakout session titled “Before You Go With Your Gut: Making Business Decisions Driven by Data.” Attendees learned how to use data-driven insights to make better decisions about their campground operations. The session demonstrated how campground owners could leverage data to decide whether to build cabins, add new amenities, or understand their customer demographics.
Later in the day, participants gathered for the Ontario Celebration and Live Auction event at the Marriott on the Falls. The evening offered a chance to celebrate the 2024 host province and the remarkable campground owners of Ontario.
