RVWA Honors Eleonore Hamm, Jessica Rider and Grand Design RV at Annual Awards

The RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) recognized Eleonore Hamm, Jessica Rider, Grand Design RV and other industry leaders during its annual awards ceremony Oct. 15, honoring contributions to leadership, mentorship, advocacy and professional development for women in the recreational vehicle industry.

Hamm, president of RVDA of Canada, received the Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement, while Rider, CEO and founder of Pull Through Sites Mobile RV, won the Champion of Women Individual Award.

Grand Design RV received the Champion of Women Company Award, and Ronnetha Morman, marketing and operations manager at Campers Inn RV, earned the Leader of Tomorrow Award.

Lisa Chapman, an account representative at Sharpline Converting, received the Chairperson’s Award for Outstanding Contributions, recognizing her service to the Alliance.

“Progress happens when people make a deliberate effort to open doors for others,” Tracy Anglemeyer, chair of RVWA, said in a News and Insights report of RVIA. “These awards recognize the leaders and organizations doing that work every day – sharing their knowledge, creating opportunities, and helping women see what’s possible in the RV industry.”

Hamm has more than 31 years of industry experience, beginning as an executive assistant in 1995 before advancing to executive vice president and becoming president of RVDA of Canada in 2009.

Her work has included federal advocacy, dealer education, market intelligence and crisis management. She also has been inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame and received the RV Industry Association National Education Service Award.

Rider, an RVTI Master Certified Technician, was recognized for training women through RV systems classes and educating audiences about RV diagnostics and repairs through a television show.

Grand Design RV was honored for its Women’s Inclusion Network, which provides mentoring, networking and leadership development opportunities. The company also has up to 20 team members routinely participating in RVWA events, with four serving on task forces and one on the board.

Morman joined Campers Inn RV in 2022 without industry experience. She developed the company’s first internal communications platform, launched a newsletter connecting employees and leadership across dozens of locations, and partnered with human resources on an employee recognition program. She also mentors women across the company.

Chapman contributed more than 1,000 hours to RVWA’s Drab to Fab and Chassis to Classy projects since 2020.
