Manufacturers selling products with intentionally added PFAS in Minnesota must submit their initial reports and pay a related fee by Sept. 15, under the state’s PFAS pollution prevention law known as Amara’s Law.
The reporting requirement applies to products sold in Minnesota and requires manufacturers to disclose intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFAS.
Products manufactured before July 1, 2023, are excluded from the reporting requirement.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) also has provisions for manufacturers that requested an extension.
Extension requests had to be postmarked by Aug. 16 and must include a signed certification and brief statements, according to the RV Industry Association (RVIA).
If approved by the MPCA, an extension provides a one-time 90-day period beyond the initial reporting deadline. The reporting deadline for an approved extension is Dec. 14.
Manufacturers subject to the requirement will have additional annual reporting obligations after the initial filing. Subsequent reports are due each year on Feb. 1.

The RVIA represents more than 430 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers, according to the association. Those companies produce 98% of RVs made in the United States and approximately 60% of RVs produced worldwide.
