Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Zion, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, opened its gates on May 24 in Hurricane, Utah. The park is located 30 minutes from Zion National Park and near Sand Hollow State Park.
The 53-acre resort, situated two hours from Las Vegas and four hours from Salt Lake City, includes various attractions designed to entertain both children and adults. The water zone features two swimming pools, giant water slides, a splashground with kiddie slides, and a lazy river. Additionally, a man-made lake with a beach and a floating obstacle course offers challenges for the entire family.
Beyond the water activities, Jellystone Park Zion offers a variety of recreational options. Families can enjoy a jumping pillow, playground, gem mining, sports courts, and games. In the evening, the resort features activities like toasting s’mores and watching movies in the outdoor theater.
Another aspect of the resort is its accommodations. Glamping cabins are equipped with air conditioning, kitchens, bathrooms, grills, fire rings, Wi-Fi, and linens, while their sky decks provide views of the surrounding sand dunes, canyons, and mountains. For RV enthusiasts, the resort offers pull-through and back-in sites with full hookups. Additionally, guests can rely on the resort-wide Wi-Fi to stay connected, allowing them to share their experiences and stay in touch with family and friends.
According to a press release, the resort is the brainchild of local entrepreneur Scott Nielson, who previously owned one of the region’s largest RV dealerships. Nielson’s personal experiences with the Jellystone Park brand, combined with his family’s input, shaped the resort.
“Being a dad, I fell in love with the Jellystone Park concept after visiting locations around the country with my family. No other brand offers families fun experiences and opportunities to create memories like Jellystone Park does,” Nielson said.
The activities team at Jellystone Park Zion has curated a calendar filled with themed weekends, a key feature of the Jellystone Park experience. These themed events are designed to ensure that every visit offers something new. The resort also provides pet-friendly accommodations and a dog agility course.
Rob Schutter, president of Camp Jellystone, expressed excitement about Scott Nielson’s efforts in bringing Jellystone Park to this part of the American West, highlighting that Nielson is building a resort that families will love.
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts feature pools, water slides, family activities, and interactions with Yogi Bear characters, with over 75 locations across the United States and Canada.
