Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country has been recognized as a finalist in the Skift IDEA Awards for the “Industry Innovators” category under attractions & activities. This year, more than 350 submissions were received, with 122 entries advancing to the final round.
The Skift IDEA Awards, now in their sixth year, are a recognition within the travel industry, celebrating excellence in design, creativity, and innovation. They recognize projects that solve traveler challenges and inspire change.
Camp Fimfo’s nomination was driven by its projects, particularly The Cliff Carver, Texas‘ first and only alpine coaster. This gravity-propelled coaster features sleds with manual brakes, allowing riders to control their speed while descending a one-mile track, offering views of Texas Hill Country.

According to its website, Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country offers a range of amenities, including a spacious resort pool with a volleyball net and basketball hoops, and the upcoming Hilltop Hideaway with a second larger pool.
The resort also showcases an interactive water playground with slides, two tube and speed water slides. Other amenities include an 18-hole mini golf course, spa tubs, yard games, pickleball, sand volleyball, the Cliff Carver alpine coaster, a giant jumping pillow, a river swimming hole with a waterfall, private poolside cabanas, and 1,000 feet of Guadalupe River access.

RV sites are equipped with full hook-ups, including 20/30/50 amp electric, and feature amenities such as a concrete pad, fire ring, and pet-friendly options.
For those seeking a more luxurious stay, the Hilltop Coyote Bubbly Cabin offers views from its hilltop location. This cabin accommodates up to 12 people and includes modern conveniences such as air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom. Guests can also enjoy outdoor dining with a charcoal grill and picnic table on the cabin’s patio.
Additionally, tent campers are not left out, with premium tent sites featuring shaded cabanas and improved tent pads. These sites come with amenities like a fire pit, picnic table, and water and electric hook-ups.
