The Texas Hill Country is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in all America, and now visitors can enjoy that natural beauty with a camping experience unlike any other at Camp Fimfo. The property has been enhanced over recent months as part of the anniversary celebration for this one-year-old resort located along the Guadalupe River.
According to a press release, improvements at the New Braunfels campground, one of Northgate Resorts’ properties, include a new communal fire pit just outside the general store, an activities pavilion, custom golf carts, and more.
“We are consistently looking at new ways to enhance the Camp Fimfo experience for our guests,” said Tessa McCrackin, chief marketing officer for Northgate Resorts. “We want to offer a turnkey and effortless experience while reaching different family members and audiences. Each new amenity and enhancement are designed to ensure everyone is having the best possible time and finding something that really fuels their interests.”
The activities pavilion will serve as an open-air community center for crafts, games, workshops, and more. There will also be Hammock Grove, a trio of customized hammock stands that look like roasted marshmallows on sticks. The stands glow with color-changing lights and are ready to enchant campers by the river.
For the artsy campers, Doors to Nowhere near the creek will be of interest. The art installation has two custom doors opening onto the park and framing verdant views.
Jumping pillows have also been added as well as new tent sites with different site selections (including options with a shade cabana and upgraded tent pad).
This fall, Camp Fimfo anticipates adding an alpine coaster, while additions for 2023 include more cabins (some will be treetops and with hot tubs), another jumping pillow, sports courts, a dog-friendly park, and hiking trails.
The Guadalupe River property will be joined by a second Camp Fimfo location in nearby Waco.
