The inaugural RV Women’s Alliance’s (RVWA) Awards will take place at the Awards Dinner on October 11 during the RVWA Education Symposium.
The awards will recognize three individuals and one company that embodies the mission of the RVWA to elevate, educate, and promote women in the industry, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association (RVIA).
“Recognizing the contribution and achievements of the incredible women in the RV industry is a core part of the RV Women’s Alliance mission,” said RVWA President Susan Carpenter.
“I am really excited for the start of the RV Women’s Alliance Awards Program, which recognizes our emerging leaders, our industry icons, and the women, men, and companies who are championing women each day in our industry. These are the people and companies who are making a difference, and it is a privilege to be able to honor them with these awards.”
The event will feature four awards: the Leader of Tomorrow Award, the Trailblazer Awards for Lifetime Achievement, and the Champion of Women Award, which will be presented to both an individual and a company. Nominations for the awards are currently being accepted now through August 2, 2022.
The Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the RV industry’s advancement while paving the way for other women to follow in her path.
As RVWA’s highest honor, the Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement is presented annually to an RVWA individual member. To get nominated, nominees must be individuals who have worked in the industry for at least 20 years.
The Leader of Tomorrow Award recognizes women making a significant impact on the RV industry during the beginning stages of their careers. The future of the RV industry depends on the cultivation of strong, creative, and hardworking women who will become tomorrow’s industry leaders.
Recognizing the up and comers in the industry, the Leader of Tomorrow Award is presented annually to an RVWA individual member. Award nominees must be individuals who have worked in the industry for less than five years to be considered.
The Champion of Women Awards recognizes those who embody our mission to elevate, educate, and promote women in the RV industry. Recipients of the award have made it part of their daily efforts to make the industry a place where women thrive.
Recognizing those making the most significant difference for women in the RV industry, the Champion of Women Award is awarded annually to both an individual and a company. The nominees must be either individuals or companies that do business in the RV industry.
