The RV Women’s Alliance is set to recognize companies that have made significant strides in promoting the role of women within the RV industry.
As part of the organization’s mission to elevate and support women, the Champion of Women Award will be presented during the RV Women’s Alliance Educational Symposium. Four companies have been selected as finalists for this award, with the winner to be announced on October 17 during the Alliance’s Awards Dinner.
According to Monika Geraci, board member and chair of the award task force, the finalists represent the embodiment of the RV Women’s Alliance mission. Each company has made concerted efforts to foster an inclusive environment where women can thrive.
“These finalists recognize the incredible value of women within their ranks and are doing amazing things to promote women in their companies,” Geraci said in a News & Insights report of RVIA. The award highlights not only individual contributions but also the changes these organizations have implemented to support gender diversity.
Broadmoor RV Superstore is among the finalists, recognized for its efforts to create an environment where female employees are supported and encouraged to grow. The company prioritizes women’s advancement by ensuring they hold key leadership and decision-making roles.
Broadmoor RV also provides various professional development opportunities through industry events and training programs, which contribute to the success of its female workforce. The company’s commitment to offering flexible schedules and supporting work-life balance has been instrumental in empowering its employees.
Byerly RV is another contender for the award, with a workforce that is nearly 30% female. The company is known for its investment in continuous education, which has led to numerous women advancing in technical and managerial roles. Byerly RV recognizes the value women bring to the organization, from improving customer satisfaction to contributing to the company’s overall financial success.
Century Chemical Corporation, a woman-owned business and member of the RV Women’s Alliance, has also been recognized for its commitment to gender diversity. Century Chemical supports working mothers by offering flexible schedules.
Grand Design RV has made inclusive policies and programs aimed at promoting women within the company. The company’s Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) organizes mentorship programs and learning events that provide women with the resources needed to advance their careers. In addition to WIN, Grand Design hosts community-building events that empower female employees to feel supported and valued in their roles.
RV Trader is also a finalist, championing women in the RV industry through various initiatives. The company provides educational resources tailored to female RVers, such as safety tips and travel advice. Women hold key executive positions within RV Trader, shaping company strategies and serving as role models for the industry.
