RVTI Offers the Kevin Phillips Scholarship for Technician Training and Certification Until Jan. 31

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) offers people new to the RV industry a perfect opportunity to get gold-standard technician training and certification for free through its Kevin Phillips Scholarship program.

The scholarship is open to high school graduates, military veterans, and individuals looking for other opportunities outside of college. The deadline for applications is on January 31, Tuesday then they will offer it again in April, July, and October.

It covers the Level 1 and 2 technician training and certification costs, essential requirements for individuals starting their careers in the industry, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association (RVIA).

According to RVTI Executive Director Curt Hemmeler, the Kevin Phillips Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the RV industry to receive top-notch technician training and certification without any cost.

He also mentioned that even though the institute had a successful recruitment year last year, they are still looking to engage more individuals in the RV technician career path. They specifically target individuals seeking an alternative to traditional higher education.

Hemmeler said the cost of training could be a significant obstacle for individuals who are just starting their careers or leaving the military.

He emphasized that the Kevin Phillips Scholarship not only provides financial assistance to the new technicians but also helps to recruit more RV technicians, which is a crucial resource for the growth of the RV industry. He also added that the scholarship is a fitting way to honor the legacy of Kevin Phillips, a respected leader in the RV industry.

The scholarship was created to honor a passionate industry leader who provided many years of respected service to the industry, the RVIA, and the RVTI

Kevin served with distinction on the Board of Directors from 2009 to 2018, including Executive Committee roles as both Secretary and Treasurer, where he maintained a deserved reputation as one of the industry’s best and brightest.

He was a true advocate for continual learning and saw vocational training as an alternative to the idea that everyone needs to go to college.

The RVTI is committed to providing the best training and career opportunities for individuals who want to be a part of the growing RV industry.

The Kevin Phillips Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for those who want to start a new career or for veterans looking for a new path after leaving the military. It is also a great way to honor the legacy of a respected leader in the RV industry.
