RVIA Schedules May 21 Seminar on 2026 Standards 1192 Code Changes Ahead of June Adoption

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) Standards Department has scheduled a seminar to present upcoming code changes tied to the 2026 NFPA 1192 Standard on Recreational Vehicles, the 2025 ANSI/RVIA Park Model Recreational Vehicle Standard, the 2026 NFPA National Electrical Code 70, and the 2025 Standard for DC Voltage Systems in Recreational Vehicles, along with related standards updates affecting compliance requirements, compliance updates.

The three standards are set for adoption on June 1, with a mandatory enforcement date of September 1, according to SNB-1825 guidance.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on April 21, The seminar will also review changes in the 2023 CSA Z240 RV Series, which were previously presented in a session referenced in SNB-0125, along with an accompanying video presentation.

The seminar will be held at the Crystal Ballroom at the Lerner Theater on Thursday, May 21, running from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST. 

Attendance is free of charge, but seating is limited to 120 participants, and the announcement is urging early registration due to capacity constraints, as part of the scheduled program.

The RVIA, with offices in the Washington, D.C. area and Elkhart, Indiana, serves as the leading trade voice of the $140 billion RV industry. It represents more than 500 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers, accounting for 98% of all RVs produced in the United States and approximately 60% of global RV production, across the industry value chain.

RVing generated an overall economic impact of $140 billion to the U.S. economy in 2022, according to association figures, with the industry contributing $13.6 billion in federal, state, and local taxes across the same period.

The association’s work includes uniting the RV industry as a single voice, conducting unannounced inspections of manufacturing plants to monitor compliance with standards, tracking industry trends and consumer behavior across the RV market, and working with federal and state policymakers and regulators. 

The association also supports market growth through the Go RVing campaign, which promotes RV travel, and operates the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), which focuses on training and certification programs for RV technicians, across the RV sector, in support of industry standards compliance and consumer experience.
