The RV Dealers Association (RVDA) and Accelerate2Compliance (A2C) will host a 30-minute webinar on Thursday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. (EST), titled “Unveiling the Shadows: Exploring the Dark Web’s Hidden Capabilities and Risks for RV Dealers.”
The webinar will delve into the Dark Web, a part of the internet that search engines like Google and Bing do not index. This section of the web is often linked with “illegal activities, including the buying and selling of stolen data.”
According to a press release, RV dealers, who handle sensitive personal information, face the risk of this data being sold on the Dark Web, which could lead to legal liabilities, financial penalties, and a loss of customer trust.
Dealers interested in learning more about A2C, the Dark Web, and strategies for protecting sensitive information are encouraged to register for the webinar.
Participants in the webinar will gain insights into several critical cybersecurity areas. These include understanding the differences between the surface web, deep web, and dark web, detecting when an RV dealer’s data is at risk of exploitation, and developing strategies to stay ahead of potential cyber and intellectual property thefts.
The webinar will also cover maintaining business continuity, preventing economic loss, protecting dealership reputations, and enhancing consumer trust through a cybersecurity plan provided by A2C.
