The RV Women’s Alliance will announce the recipient of the Champion of Women Award at its Awards Dinner next Thursday, October 17, during the Educational Symposium. The award recognizes individuals who embody the organization’s mission to elevate, educate, and promote women within the RV industry. Seven finalists have been named for their leadership, mentorship, and efforts to foster a more inclusive environment.
“These finalists for the RV Women’s Alliance Champion of Women Award are truly exceptional and each has played a pivotal role in empowering women in the RV industry,” Monika Geraci, RV Women’s Alliance board member and chair of the Award Taskforce, said in a News & Insights report of RVIA. “Their unwavering dedication to inclusivity, mentorship, and professional development has enriched their organizations and the industry as a whole.”
The Champion of Women Award is given annually to an individual and a company that makes significant strides in advancing opportunities for women in the RV industry. The award honors those who actively work to create an environment where women can thrive.
Finalist Alissa Reyes of Thetford has been recognized for fostering diversity and supporting women’s advancement in the industry. Reyes has developed initiatives that provide platforms for collaboration and growth, particularly for working mothers. Her commitment to education and work-life balance has helped make the RV industry more inclusive.
At Lippert, Angie Biritz has been praised for her leadership in mentoring women based on their potential, regardless of experience. Biritz has played a key role in providing opportunities for training and career advancement, empowering women to succeed in roles they may not have previously considered.
Ashley Hand of General RV Center is also noted for her work in building a support network for women at the company. Through mentoring and advocacy, Hand has helped promote women into leadership roles, strengthening the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Jil Littlejohn Bostick of Winnebago Industries has spearheaded diversity initiatives, including the company’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action Speaker Series. Her leadership has created opportunities for underrepresented groups, advancing gender equality within Winnebago and across the industry.
Kelly Mosher, who leads the customer service department at Forest River Inc., has also implemented training programs that provide resources for women to advance their careers. Mosher’s mentorship and advocacy for women in leadership have earned her respect and admiration throughout the company.
Laura Dobbs of General RV Center has made significant strides in promoting women into leadership positions. Under her guidance, three out of five department leaders reporting to her are women, and her support of professional development initiatives has inspired more women to pursue careers in the RV industry.
At THOR Industries, Renee Jones has been a strong advocate for women, providing mentorship and promoting open conversations about overcoming adversity in the workplace. Jones’ efforts to elevate and empower women have made her a role model within the RV industry.
