RV Trader and Cycle Trader have unveiled a new vehicle listing tool designed to make selling pre-owned RVs and motorcycles “easier.” This tool, available on both platforms, uses artificial intelligence to automatically “populate vehicle details and descriptions,” reducing the time needed to create a listing.
The new feature is being introduced at a time when RV values have appreciated, as highlighted in J.D. Power’s 2024 Q2 Market Insight Report. “These improved market conditions provide sellers with the opportunity to receive higher returns on their pre-owned RVs,” a press release explained.
According to the press release, sellers only need to provide basic information about their RV or motorcycle, such as the year, make, and model. From there, the AI system takes over, adding details such as vehicle weight, engine size, and more. This process eliminates the hassle of manually gathering specifications, making it easier for sellers to create accurate listings.
One of the additional features of the new tool is its instant vehicle valuation, powered by J.D. Power’s extensive market analysis. This gives sellers an estimate of their vehicle’s worth.
In addition to vehicle details and valuations, the tool offers optional AI-generated listing descriptions. These descriptions highlight the vehicle’s most attractive features.
The press release states that sellers have the option to select from various listing packages, each providing different levels of service and online exposure. Premium packages offer placement on the platform’s homepage and search results, enhancing visibility and accelerating the sales process. This flexibility allows sellers to customize their listings to suit their individual needs and objectives.
Troy Snyder, VP of private marketplaces and digital retailing at Trader Interactive, emphasized the role of this new tool. “Our new vehicle listing tool provides the fastest and easiest way to create a high-quality vehicle listing, giving sellers the best opportunity of receiving top dollar from true in-market buyers,” Snyder said.
