The RV Industry Association has issued an updated list of recognized third-party listing agencies following its most recent audit cycle, which was completed in August 2024. The updated recognition period for these agencies took effect on September 1, 2024 and will remain in place through August 31, 2027.
The Association conducts a formal review of its listing agencies every three years to confirm that they maintain appropriate ISO certifications and continue to meet the organization’s approval requirements.
As part of this process, agencies are evaluated for compliance with the RV Industry Association’s Third Party Conditions and Criteria for Recognition. Any organization seeking inclusion must submit documentation demonstrating that it meets these standards.
In recent months, additional agencies have been added to the “Recognized Listing Agencies” list. These include F2 Labs, TUV Rheinland of North America, and Dekra, all of which are now recognized by the RV Industry Association as part of the updated list of approved third-party listing agencies.
Within the RV manufacturing framework, third-party listing agencies play a defined role in verifying compliance with industry standards.
As a condition of membership, RV Industry Association manufacturers pledge in writing to build RVs that conform to the Association’s adopted standards. These standards require that certain equipment and materials be “listed,” meaning they have been independently evaluated.
“Listed” is defined as equipment, material, or services included in a list published by an independent third-party organization that has reviewed the manufacturing process of a product and has independently determined that the final product complies with specific standards for safety, quality or performance.
These agencies also state that listed products meet applicable standards or are suitable for their intended use, and they may conduct periodic inspections or re-evaluations of listed items over time.
For operators in the outdoor hospitality, RV park, and campground sectors, these updates are relevant because they indirectly affect the safety and consistency of the RVs entering the rental, resale, and guest-use markets.
Compliance verification through recognized agencies supports consistency in build quality and can influence long-term maintenance requirements, insurance considerations, and guest safety expectations.
As RV inventory continues to be a core component of many glamping and campground business models, awareness of approved compliance structures can assist operators when evaluating fleet purchases or working with manufacturers. The updated recognition list remains in effect through August 31, 2027, providing manufacturers and industry stakeholders with a defined compliance framework for the current cycle.
