RV Industry Association (RVIA) Board of Directors convened at the RV Leadership Conference, marking its first meeting for the year 2024. RVIA also announced a new committee, according to a News & Insights report from the RV Industry Association.
Among the key topics discussed were the ongoing support for the RV Technical Institute, the Go RVing marketing initiative, updates on government affairs, and matters concerning membership and governance.
This gathering underscored the role of the Board as the highest-level authority within the association, tasked with strategic oversight, including standards, marketing, government affairs, industry education, statistical data, and association finances.
Additionally, the Board was briefed on the progress of the Emerging Leaders Coalition, which plays a crucial role in steering the RV Leadership Conference.
A significant outcome of this meeting was the Board’s decision to establish a Workplace Safety Committee. Comprising industry representatives, safety experts, and association staff, this committee is tasked with ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals across the workplace. It showcases the industry’s ongoing commitment to a long-term dedication to the welfare of its workforce.
In addition, RV Campground Coalition, a newly instituted body, convened for its first in-person meeting. The coalition embarked on setting strategic objectives aimed at enhancing synergy within the industry, focusing on the campground sector and the future of RV camping.
The next meeting of the RV Industry Board of Directors is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, during RVs Move America Week.
RVs Move America Week is an event for the recreational vehicle (RV) industry, marking a period where industry professionals, from manufacturers to suppliers, converge to shape the future trajectory of this sector. This annual gathering kicks off with two days dedicated to committee meetings. Beyond the committee meetings, RVs Move America Week offers attendees an overview of the RV industry’s current landscape through presentations by association leaders.
