An 830-acre riverfront property with a campground in Pennsylvania’s Gilpin Township has been listed for sale, according to a CBS News report. This expansive land, known for its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, is being offered for $3 million.
The area encompasses the Johnetta Campground, a seasonal leased site for summer outdoor enthusiasts. The campground, a destination for river and camping enthusiasts, is situated approximately 45 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, along the banks of the Allegheny River.
In Gilpin Township, Kiski and Allegheny Rivers provide a fishing and boating experience. The area showcases fishing spots and boating opportunities. Enthusiasts can lease a campsite equipped with full hookups and a personal dock slip, for a boating adventure up the Kiski River or down the Allegheny River to Pittsburgh’s Point, where the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers converge. Campsite leases are available from April 1 to October 31, offering flexibility for seasonal enjoyment, with the option for RVs to remain on-site year-round.
