The Overland Expo Pacific Northwest at the Redmond Fairgrounds in Oregon drew over 16,000 attendees from 45 states and 10 countries. The expo featured a lineup of more than 400 exhibitors, including brands such as Goose Gear and INEOS Grenadier.
Attendees had the chance to explore tech-focused, feature-rich vehicles and motorcycles, along with accessories that bring the comforts of home to camping. The event also showcased designs for sleeping and cooking solutions tailored for outdoor enthusiasts.
Jessica Kirchner, vice president of consumer events for Emerald, the company that owns Overland Expo, mentioned that the event serves as an international platform for introducing new brands and offering inclusive experiences for newcomers to overlanding. It also allows overlanding enthusiasts to share best practices and enjoy time with friends and family.
“Overland Expo not only is a distinct event fostering a passionate community, this event provides an escape from today’s busy, chaotic headlines. It truly is a venue where guests can let their hair down, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, go for a test drive or camp to their heart’s content. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, educators and partners for making this event a tremendous success,” Kirchner said.
Another aspect of the event is vehicle designs and innovations, with many exhibitors presenting do-it-all solutions for overlanding enthusiasts.
Demonstrating the community’s commitment to responsible outdoor exploration, the Overland Expo Foundation charity raffle raised over $16,000. These funds will support scholarships for overlanders and organizations dedicated to maintaining access to public lands and promoting sustainable outdoor practices.
The Overland Expo Film Festival, sponsored by GOAT BOXCO, was another highlight. The festival showcased films, with the feature presentation taking viewers along as the Backcountry Discovery Route team explored the newly announced Northern California Backcountry Route.
According to an article published by KTVZ, Brian Fulton, CEO of Goose Gear, noted that his company has been attending all Overland Expo events since 2015, considering it the foundation of their business.
“This is the overland show for us period, there’s nothing else like it and that’s why we keep coming back,” Fulton said.
The Overland Expo series will proceed next month with the Overland Expo Mountain West event, scheduled for August 23-25 at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado.
