Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Columbus North, unveiled a range of new facilities, such as a resort-style pool, luxury lakeside cabanas, and upscale glamping cabins for the summer vacation season.
The addition of these amenities was emphasized by Co-General Manager Kaycee Butt, who noted the resort’s aim to provide thrilling experiences for all guests.
“We’ve combined the best of camping with new luxury resort-style amenities and accommodations that are going to thrill both kids and parents. With the stunning scenery, it’s the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled vacation that creates memories lasting a lifetime,” Butt said in a press release.
In 2021, Great Escapes RV Resorts acquired the location and initiated upgrades to transform it into a luxury family camping destination. Today, the resort features a pristine lake with a beach, water slide, swimming opportunities, a recently expanded Wibit floating obstacle course, fishing, swan boats, and newly installed cabanas.
Adjacent to these are 30 new luxury glamping cabins. These cabins, which can sleep up to eight people, are fitted with air conditioning, private bathrooms, complete kitchens, and hotel-quality furnishings. Additionally, the resort maintains its character interactions with Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Cindy Bear, and Ranger Smith, which continue to be integral to the Jellystone Park experience.
The off-season saw further enhancements, including upgrading all RV sites to include full hook-ups. The resort also added a new dog park, a jumping pad, a water volleyball area, an activity center for arts and crafts, and live entertainment, along with a new food truck and ice cream truck to cater to guests’ culinary needs.
A full schedule of summer activities is planned, including train rides and themed celebrations like Neon Nights and Tie Dye Delights, which feature an evening glow parade and a late-night glow swim.
The resort also places an emphasis on educational programs that introduce children to camping and the outdoors. According to Co-General Manager Jodie Holava, many children experience camping for the first time at Jellystone Park. She values the opportunity to teach them essential outdoor skills through programs that inspire a passion for camping and nature exploration.
For special discounts, the resort shared several special deals to make camping, glamping, and RVing a more accessible alternative to traditional vacations.
