OHI announced its 2025 music licensing program, offering exclusive discounts to members. Aimed at RV parks, campgrounds, and glamping businesses, the program features lower rates to help reduce the cost of music licenses required for compliance with U.S. copyright laws.
OHI’s program covers all four major performing rights organizations (PROs): ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and GMR. By participating in the OHI music licensing program, businesses avoid “unsolicited communications” from PROs throughout the year.
“At OHI, we understand the importance of providing our members with tangible benefits, and our music licensing program is no exception. Our team has negotiated discounts that substantially lower the regular rack card license rates, effectively easing the financial commitment for your park. In fact, the rates we have negotiated are by far the best rates in the industry, so you will save the most purchasing your music licenses through OHI,” a press release stated.
The 2025 invoices for OHI members who participated in the 2024 program have already been generated and can be accessed through the OHI member portal. Members are encouraged to pay their invoices by January 11, 2025, to ensure compliance and take advantage of the discounted rates. After this deadline, OHI will not be able to accept payments unless members are newly enrolled or have recently acquired a park.
According to the press release, music licensing is crucial to operating an outdoor hospitality business, as it allows parks to legally play music for guests. Each PRO represents different songwriters, composers, and publishers, making it necessary to be licensed by all four organizations for complete coverage. OHI’s program remains the only one in the industry that covers all four PROs.
OHI’s mission is to serve the outdoor hospitality industry by providing resources and support to its members. OHI is committed to advancing RV parks, campgrounds, and glamping businesses.
