Campground Owners of New York (CONY), the trade association representing independent campgrounds in New York State, is holding its Spring Zone Meetings to prepare park operators and staff for the upcoming camping season.
The meetings, which will be held in three different locations across the state, aim to provide attendees with industry information, educational presentations, and a platform to network with regional attendees and dedicated vendors.
“Campground operators and staff, prospective operators, and industry vendors are invited to participate,” a press release from the association reads.
Starting on March 28, the meetings will take place in Albany, Auburn, and Batavia and will cover topics ranging from legislative news to business success strategies.
The cost to attend a Zone Meeting is $30 per person, which includes lunch and materials.
Additionally, a limited number of vendor tables are available for booking on a first-come, first-served basis, at rates of $75 for CONY members and $125 for non-members, according to CONY.
Set up as shorter versions of the group’s annual Fall Exposition, each Zone Meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. and repeats daily in three locations:
- March 28, 2023: Polish Community Center, Albany, NY (Eastern NY).
- March 29, 2023: Holiday Inn, Auburn, NY (Central NY).
- March 30, 2023: Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel, Batavia, NY (Western NY).
CONY, established in 1963, provides education, government affairs, and marketing services to independent campgrounds and RV parks in New York. The organization also hosts a travel planning website, CampNewYork.com, and publishes a printed magazine highlighting the state’s campgrounds.
