Nemo Equipment, a leading outdoor gear manufacturer, has recently introduced its first-ever 100% recyclable sleeping bag as part of the company’s new Endless Promise series.
The series emphasizes sustainability in outdoor gear, creating products designed to be repairable, resellable, and recyclable, according to a report by Camping Trade World.

The innovative Forte sleeping bag, available in men’s and women’s models, offers campers and outdoor enthusiasts an eco-friendly option. The 2023 Forte model incorporates Nemo’s well-regarded 3-season Spoon™ shape and is crafted entirely from a single material family, ensuring complete recyclability.
Nemo’s Endless Promise series highlights the company’s dedication to responsible manufacturing and eco-friendly practices. By designing products that are easy to repair, resell, or recycle, Nemo aims to minimize landfill waste and promote environmental stewardship within the outdoor recreation community.
Nemo Equipment’s founder and CEO, Cam Brensinger, has emphasized the company’s commitment to creating innovative, sustainable products since its inception.
Brensinger stressed the importance of addressing resource consumption and waste generated during manufacturing processes, as well as Nemo’s efforts to tackle these issues through initiatives like the “Ditto” program.
Nemo has a track record of launching environmentally-conscious products. In 2009, the company introduced the first recycled fabric tent with bamboo poles.
The “Ditto” program, another innovative effort, transformed production samples and manufacturing rejects into upcycled wallets and totes, showcasing Nemo’s dedication to sustainability and waste reduction.
The introduction of Nemo’s recyclable sleeping bag is a welcome development in the outdoor hospitality industry, as it promotes responsible camping and emphasizes the value of sustainable practices.
Campgrounds and outdoor recreation facilities can offer this eco-friendly option to their visitors, ultimately helping to reduce the environmental impact of camping activities.
