Funding avenues such as Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation were also considered to support this essential project.
Council member Josh Zika expressed his view on the rate increase, underscoring the campground’s premium location on Lake Vermilion’s shores. This unique waterfront feature contributes to the campground’s attractiveness and its potential to justify a rate adjustment.
Pratt raised concerns about long-term campers exceeding site limitations by erecting unauthorized structures, such as storage units and porches.
While the city’s rules allow for auxiliary structures, Pratt stressed the importance of adhering to the specified limits. He suggested addressing this matter through clear communication and potential consequences for non-compliance.
