Secure Your Spot Early: Wright County Campground Reservations Open March 4

The Wright County Parks & Recreation Department in Minnesota has officially announced the commencement of its annual campground reservation period, set to begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4.

Based on a press release, approximately 90% of the available slots for the entire camping season are reserved within the first hour of the reservation window opening. The announcement aims to early secure camping spots at Schroeder, Bertram, or Collinwood Campgrounds.

In a move to enhance the reservation process, the department has adopted a new reservation software for this year. This change necessitates both returning users and newcomers to the system to register for a new account within its updated platform.

Prospective campers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the necessary information and links provided by the department ahead of the reservation system going live. The specific sites available for reservation at Schroeder Park include sites 1, 2, 4-14, 16, and 21-28.

Meanwhile, Bertram and Collinwood Campgrounds will be open for reservations. Sites 30-50 at Schroeder Park will have a reservation start date of June 3, with the availability for stays beginning on July 8. This delay is attributed to a construction project currently underway at the park.

Wright County Parks & Trails offers a diverse range of outdoor and recreational activities designed to cater to various interests and age groups. The county’s parks system includes regional parks such as Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park, Collinwood Regional Park, Robert Ney Regional Park, and Stanley Eddy Regional Park, each providing unique natural landscapes and recreational opportunities.

These parks offer amenities for hiking, biking, fishing, and picnicking, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature. Bertram Chain of Lakes, for example, is known for its beautiful chain of lakes, offering water-based activities like swimming, canoeing, and kayaking, making it a perfect destination for water enthusiasts.

With a significant portion of reservations typically completed within the first hour of availability, early participation in the booking process is essential. For those with inquiries or in need of further assistance, visitors can contact [email protected], or click here
