“Every season, Pine Acres Family Camping Resort chooses a charity to raise funds for throughout the camping season. In the past, this family-owned campground has supported local causes as well as charities selected by their campers or employees,” the resort said in a press release.

In the past, the campground has partnered with organizations such as Why Me & Sherry’s House, Compassionate Cares ALS, Pawsitively 4 Pink, The Karen Wellington Foundation, and Veteran’s Inc.

This year, Project New Hope was chosen for its mission to assist veterans and their families by providing vital services, including retreats, food pantry access, and support navigating government systems. The organization, which operates out of Worcester and Westfield, Massachusetts, offers a range of programs designed to help veterans and their loved ones thrive.

Representatives from Project New Hope, including Bill Moore, Tracy Linch, and Jenny Linch, visited the campground to share their organization’s mission with attendees and participate in the formal check presentation.

Throughout the camping season, Pine Acres organized a series of fundraising events that encouraged participation from campers and staff. Activities included raffles, cornhole, and pickleball tournaments, bake sales, and gift basket bingo, all of which contributed to the final donation total. These events not only raised money but also brought the community together in support of a shared cause.
