Marriott International has acquired Postcard Cabins, formerly known as Getaway, marking a significant move into the expanding nature-based accommodations market. Since its founding in 2015, Postcard Cabins has offered 1,200 cabins across 29 U.S. locations, offering guests the chance to unplug and reconnect with nature.
Since its inception, Postcard Cabins has hosted over 2.4 million guests who have collectively spent more than 40 million hours immersed in nature. The brand’s offerings focus on simplicity and comfort, aiming to help guests slow down and embrace the outdoors. With its integration into Marriott’s system, scheduled for 2025, Postcard Cabins will gain access to the Marriott Bonvoy travel platform, which includes over 219 million members globally.

“In joining Marriott, we’re excited to bring the Postcard Cabins experience to a global audience seeking exactly what we offer—a place to slow down, disconnect from the every day, and invest in the relationships that matter most,” Jon Staff, founder and CEO of Postcard Cabins, said in a press release. “What started a decade ago with a small group of believers in the power of spending free time in nature, has grown into a national movement.”
