Kampgrounds of America (KOA), the world’s largest system of privately owned campgrounds, is continuing its more than decade-long partnership with USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) as a premier sponsor.
Since 2009, KOA’s yellow logo has appeared on USABS sleds, symbolizing a shared commitment to outdoor adventure and athletic excellence.
KOA’s support reflects a natural alignment between the company’s mission to connect people with the outdoors and the high-performance environment of bobsled and skeleton athletes, who thrive in challenging, outdoor conditions.
“We are thrilled to build upon our long-standing partnership with USA Bobsled & Skeleton,” Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of KOA, said in a press release.
“Our network of over 500 campgrounds across North America shares the same core values as these remarkable athletes: dedication, teamwork, and a continued pursuit of excellence. We look forward to cheering on the team as they compete in Milan,” O’Rourke added.
Aron McGuire, CEO of USABS, also highlighted the importance of KOA’s ongoing support. “KOA has been an unwavering partner of USA Bobsled & Skeleton for more than a decade, and their continued support means the world to our athletes and organization,” McGuire said. “KOA’s commitment to outdoor adventure, community, and excellence mirrors the mindset required to compete at the highest level of our sport.”
KOA encourages fans and outdoor enthusiasts to follow USABS competitions through local broadcasters.
Founded more than 60 years ago, KOA operates over 500 franchised and owned campgrounds across North America.
The company also manages Terramor Outdoor Resorts, a glamping venture that launched its first property in Bar Harbor, Maine, in 2020.
KOA provides campground owners with support in education, design, marketing, technology, and recruitment, reinforcing its position as a leader in outdoor hospitality.
USABS serves as the national governing body for bobsled and skeleton in the United States, responsible for athlete development from grassroots to elite levels. The organization oversees training, competition, and athlete support, representing the United States in international competitions.
