Vatrer Power has launched a 12V 300Ah heated lithium battery with an integrated cooling fan, offering 300Ah of deep-cycle capacity and a 3,840Wh energy capacity for RV applications.
The battery features a 300A continuous charge and discharge rating and is designed to support a properly matched 3,840W inverter for high-draw appliances including microwaves, induction cooktops and air conditioning.
According to Vatrer Power, the battery is designed to address startup surge demands, sustained high-current output and cold-weather charging restrictions that can affect 12V RV house batteries when high-draw appliances are used away from shore power.
The new model replaces the company’s previous 200A self-heating 300Ah battery with a higher-current board. The earlier fanless model had a maximum inverter matching capacity of 2,560W, while the new battery supports continuous power output of 3,840W and a peak output of 600A for three seconds. The additional capacity is intended to accommodate startup surges from air conditioner compressors and water pumps.
The battery also incorporates Smart Self-Heating Technology for cold-weather charging. When ambient temperatures fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and charging current is applied, a built-in heating film warms the cells before charging begins. The battery management system stops charging below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and discharging below -4 degrees Fahrenheit.
Vatrer Power said an 850W solar array paired with an MPPT controller can recharge the battery from 0% to 100% in approximately 4.5 peak sun hours. Using a 14.6V 40A LiFePO4 charger, the company said a full recharge takes about 7.5 hours. The recommended charging current is 60A, or 0.2C.
Bluetooth connectivity allows users to monitor battery information through the Vatrer smartphone application. Available metrics include state of charge, voltage, cell temperature and cycle counts.
The battery uses Grade-A LiFePO4 cells and is rated for more than 5,000 charge cycles at 80% depth of discharge, according to Vatrer Power. Multiple batteries can be configured into a 4S4P system supporting 51.2V and 1,200Ah.
The enclosure measures 15.51 × 8.27 × 11.69 inches and weighs 71.65 pounds. The battery uses M8 terminals and has IP65 protection, with CE, FCC, UN38.3 and RoHS certifications. Vatrer Power also provides a five-year warranty and technical support.
