Jellystone Parks Celebrate National Dog Week with Pet-Friendly Amenities and Events

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts is celebrating National Dog Week, running from September 22-28, with new pet-friendly amenities, events, and accommodations designed to ensure a fun and relaxing experience for dogs and their families.

As more travelers prioritize destinations that welcome pets, Jellystone Park continues to expand its offerings to meet the growing demand for pet-friendly activities and spaces. Jellystone Park locations across the United States and Canada welcome dogs, with several franchises introducing new features such as dog parks, and special treats for canine visitors.

Throughout the week, families visiting Jellystone Park with their furry companions can enjoy a variety of dog-centered activities. Highlights include dog splash parks, fenced-in play areas, and even “doggy dens” attached to cabins and RV sites. At some locations, “Yappy Hours” are hosted, allowing guests and their pets to socialize.

Many Camp-Resorts have designated areas for dogs to run and play. The Akron-Canton, Ohio, location recently debuted a dog splash park, enhancing its appeal to pet owners looking for a memorable getaway.

Other Jellystone Park locations also stock a variety of pet products, from toys to treats. Some parks even offer “barkcuterie boards” and “pup cups” for dogs, adding an extra layer of enjoyment for pet owners.

Jellystone Park’s focus on pet-friendly travel goes beyond physical amenities. Some camp-resorts offer dog-themed events throughout the year, including weekend getaways featuring activities like costume contests for pets.

With Halloween just around the corner, families will soon be dressing up both children and pets to participate in festivities at the parks. In addition to play areas and themed activities, Jellystone Park locations provide pet-friendly cabin options and RV sites. Several parks now offer cabins with attached “doggy dens,” fenced spaces where dogs can roam safely.

“The decision on where to travel, whether for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation, increasingly is determined by a destination’s pet policies and amenities,” Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing, explained in a press release. “Jellystone Park goes above and beyond to make sure families and their pets always have a fun, memorable stay.”

With over 75 franchised locations across the United States and Canada, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts offer a wide range of attractions and activities for families, including pools, water slides, and mini-golf.
