Goecker explains that weather conditions contribute to the blooming phenomenon, but the park has taken proactive measures by forming a water committee. Their goal is to address the issue and mitigate the chemical runoff that contributes to elevated algae levels, thereby safeguarding the lake’s ecological balance.
