Fixed operations performance will be a focus at the upcoming RV Dealers Convention/Expo, where experts from Integrated Dealer Systems (IDS) will lead education workshops. The event will occur from Nov. 11-15, at Paris Las Vegas and is sponsored by RVDA of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
One of the sessions at the Convention/Expo will take place at 12:45 p.m. on November 14. Don Miller, senior consultant for IDS, will present “Pulse Check: Current RECT Trends and What’s Driving Them” as part of the fixed operations education track.
This presentation aims to help RV dealerships benchmark their performance by analyzing RECT (Repair Event Cycle Time) trends across the industry.
According to a press release, Miller’s session is expected to provide actionable insights for dealerships, allowing them to compare their RECT performance against industry standards. Attendees will receive guidance on improving service department efficiency and profitability.
The presentation will highlight RECT trends and showcase which brands are excelling in specific areas of fixed operations. Additionally, the session will cover service metrics that dealerships should monitor, such as RECT, and how to leverage this data to enhance overall performance.
Miller’s discussion will also encourage dealerships to assess various aspects of their operations. By examining specific processes, dealerships can identify areas for improvement and reallocate resources to areas where they can make the most impact on their bottom line.
Later that day, at 3:15 p.m., Allison Miller, a sales engineer for IDS, will present “Elevate Your Fixed Ops Customer Experience with Automation,” also as part of the fixed operations education track. This session will address the growing importance of customer experience as dealerships seek to maximize profit in fixed operations amid fluctuating market conditions.
Allison Miller’s presentation will emphasize the need for dealerships to offer “customer experience that stands out from competitors.”
The session will also explore strategies for providing proactive communication with customers, including automating text messaging, follow-ups, reminders, and more. Additionally, the presentation will focus on improving cross-departmental communication to enhance the overall customer experience.
Identifying communication gaps within fixed operations departments is another key topic that will be covered in the session.
The RV Dealers Convention/Expo provides an opportunity for North American dealerships to connect with industry leaders, peers, and potential business partners in the Expo. The event serves as a platform for dealership professionals to expand their networks and gain insights
