This collaboration aims to blend the adventurous spirit of iconic outdoor settings with the sophisticated hospitality and design-forward approach of boutique hotels.

The initiative promises to redefine outdoor hospitality, offering Hilton guests direct access to unique accommodations near some of the nation’s most beloved national parks.

The partnership will make AutoCamp stays bookable through Hilton’s direct channels in the upcoming months, providing Hilton Honors members the opportunity to earn and redeem points while enjoying exclusive benefits.

This collaboration will introduce guests to sought-after locations across the United States, including Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and Russian River in California; Zion in Utah; Cape Cod in Massachusetts; and Catskills in New York. Additionally, new sites are set to open in Asheville, North Carolina, and Sequoia, California, this summer, with Hill Country, Texas, following in 2025.

Chris Silcock, Hilton’s president of Global Brands and Commercial Services, emphasized the alignment of both companies’ visions to cater to the modern traveler’s craving for adventure.

“We know today’s travelers are craving adventures when planning their next trip, and that’s why we look for innovative and like-minded partners like AutoCamp,” Silcock said.

This partnership marks the first of its kind between a major hospitality brand and an outdoor lodging company, offering more choices for travelers and redefining the outdoor hospitality experience.

The Hilton Trends Report for 2024 highlights a significant shift in travel preferences, with nearly half of all travelers prioritizing exploration and adventure. This trend is even more pronounced among younger generations, with more than half of Gen Z and Millennials allocating increased budgets for adventure travel, surpassing other age groups.

AutoCamp’s unique approach to outdoor lodging allows guests to comfortably immerse themselves in nature.

The company’s exclusive relationship with Airstream enables it to offer custom-designed Airstreams, spacious cabins, luxury tents, and other unique accommodations. Central to each AutoCamp location is The Clubhouse, a social hub offering food, beverage, and retail options, designed with a mid-century modern aesthetic by notable architects. The grounds feature communal fire pits, trails, swimming pools (at select locations), group meeting spaces, and other outdoor amenities, fostering a sense of community and connection to the outdoors.

Neil Dipaola, founder and CEO of AutoCamp, expressed the company’s mission to reconnect people with the outdoors and each other.

“By partnering with an incredible global brand like Hilton, we’re able to introduce Hilton Honors members to a new hospitality experience rooted in nature – bringing them closer to the country’s most iconic national parks and explorable outdoor destinations without sacrificing the highest caliber of hospitality and comfort they expect,” Dipaola added.

For campground, glamping owners, and outdoor hospitality operators, this partnership represents a significant development in the industry. It underscores the growing demand for unique and high-quality outdoor experiences among travelers. By combining Hilton’s global brand strength and AutoCamp’s innovative approach to outdoor lodging, the partnership sets a new standard for the outdoor hospitality market.

This collaboration not only expands the range of options available to travelers but can also encourage the outdoor hospitality industry to innovate and elevate the guest experience. It highlights the importance of creating memorable and comfortable outdoor experiences that cater to the evolving preferences of modern travelers.

The partnership between Hilton and AutoCamp is a testament to the potential for collaboration between traditional hospitality brands and outdoor lodging companies. It opens up new opportunities for growth and innovation within the industry, encouraging other operators to explore similar partnerships and concepts.
