Harvest Hosts, a membership program offering RVers access to over 5,000 unique camping locations, has announced a search for a Chief Retirement Officer (CRO). This full-time position is designed for those who want to explore North America’s scenic spots in a fully furnished fifth wheel RV while documenting their experiences.
The Chief Retirement Officer role offers a unique opportunity to experience retirement in an unconventional way. Responsibilities include scouting the best early bird dinner deals, identifying the most scenic rest stops, and finding ideal locations for relaxation.
The selected candidate will share these experiences through weekly content that showcases Harvest Hosts locations, according to a press release.
Joel Holland, CEO of Harvest Hosts, shares that his journey to becoming CEO started with corporate burnout and a desire to travel the country.
“Tired of desks and spreadsheets, I bought an RV and began the great American road trip, which led me to discover Harvest Hosts and my true passion. I hope to give someone else the same opportunity as our Chief Retirement Officer,” Holland stated.
Candidates for the CRO role will need strong interpersonal skills, a love for road trips, and a genuine dedication to exploring new places. They must be over 30 years old with a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Additionally, the role requires participants to relax and engage in leisure activities such as birdwatching, knitting, and pickleball.
Applications for the Chief Retirement Officer position require a creative letter of resignation, proof of enjoying the retirement lifestyle, and a list of U.S. destinations the applicant hopes to visit in their first year. Interested individuals can submit their applications on the Harvest Hosts website.
The Chief Retirement Officer role offers a unique blend of travel, relaxation, and community engagement. It presents a rare opportunity to explore North America’s most picturesque locations while sharing those experiences with a broader audience. If you’re ready to retire in style and hit the open road, Harvest Hosts wants to hire you for this one-of-a-kind position.
