Go RVing Boosts Digital Reach With Reddit and YouTube Takeovers Ahead of Summer Travel Peak

Go RVing is expanding its digital marketing presence with two major platform takeovers on Reddit and YouTube as the RV industry prepares for the peak summer travel season, aiming to reach high-intent audiences during key planning periods.

The activations are positioned around Memorial Day and National Go RVing Day, two high-visibility windows when consumer interest in outdoor travel typically increases and consumers actively plan summer escapes.

The strategy includes a Reddit Category Takeover on May 25 targeting niche communities focused on travel, camping, and DIY adventure, followed by a YouTube Masthead placement from June 12 to 14 that will place Go RVing on the platform’s homepage during the National Go RVing Day weekend.

“Reaching the next generation of outdoor adventurers isn’t just about showing up, it’s about showing up where they already are,” Jeremy Greene, Go RVing’s vice president of marketing, said in a News and Insights report of RVIA on April 23.

“Media takeovers on platforms like YouTube and Reddit let us connect with younger audiences in a way that feels natural, surrounding them with inspiration at the moments they’re thinking about getting away. During high-intent windows like Memorial Day and National Go RVing Day, these channels amplify our message to turn curiosity into action,” Greene added.

The scale of the activations is expected to drive measurable visibility across both platforms, including an estimated 6-7 million impressions from the Reddit Memorial Day Category Takeover and more than 2.5 million impressions during the YouTube Masthead placement over the June 12–14 weekend.

For RV manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers, the campaigns are intended to strengthen category awareness during a critical booking and planning period. 

By investing in high-impact digital placements, Go RVing is working to maintain visibility in a competitive travel market and ensure RVing remains part of broader summer travel considerations as consumer interest peaks.

Go RVing describes the effort as a “surround sound” digital approach, using premium placements across major platforms to ensure the RV lifestyle remains visible during peak planning moments.

Memorial Day is positioned as an unofficial kickoff to summer travel, aligning with community discussions on Reddit focused on outdoor recreation and trip planning.
