FMCA’s 109th International Convention & RV Expo will be held at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon, from August 14 to 17. Themed “Adventure Peaks,” the event aims to celebrate RV life and attract both enthusiasts and newcomers. Over 700 RVs are expected to attend.
A highlight of the four-plus-day event will be the RV Expo, showcasing some of the newest RV models and a wide array of related products and services.
Doug Uhlenbrock, FMCA director of events, emphasized the “adventurous” spirit and the fun and freedom associated with RV travel. He encouraged current RV owners and those considering purchasing an RV to join the event in Redmond in August.
“There’s no better way to learn about RVing and to celebrate RV life while spending time with some fantastic people who share your passion for exploring North America by RV,” Uhlenbrock said in a press release.
The convention will also offer approximately 100 seminar sessions covering topics such as chassis maintenance, RV solar systems, full-time RVing, and convection-microwave cooking. These sessions aim to equip RV owners with knowledge and skills to enhance their travel experiences.
For those new to the RV world or considering joining the community, a special seminar titled “RV Curious? Come Join Us!” will take place on August 16 in the Lava Room of the South Sister Building. This panel discussion will feature experienced RV owners sharing insights and answering questions from potential newcomers.
The event also includes daytime and evening entertainment, along with various social activities, fostering a sense of community among attendees. These gatherings provide opportunities for RV enthusiasts to share stories, tips, and forge new friendships with like-minded travelers.
FMCA offers several registration options. RV owners can stay on-site in their vehicles, with registration for a couple priced at $250. An early bird discount is available until June 26. Those interested in exploring without bringing an RV can opt for a daily passport, which grants access to all activities.
For visitors primarily interested in the RV Expo, single-day admission is available for $10 per person, granting access to the expo only.
The RV Expo will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 15 and 16, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on August 17. Children under 12 and active military personnel with ID are admitted free of charge.
