Nature’s Resort Earns Best Park Honor for Operational Excellence and Guest Satisfaction

Nature’s Resort RV Park in Homosassa, Florida, has been named a Best Park Award recipient by the Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association, recognizing operational standards, guest satisfaction, and facility improvements across the privately owned campground sector.

The award was announced April 30 during the Florida and Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo awards dinner at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, where industry operators gathered to recognize top-performing parks across the two-state region.

According to a press release, Bobby Cornwell, executive director and CEO of the Florida RV Park and Campground Association, said the awards are based on independent evaluation criteria.

“Our intent with these awards is to recognize the best parks, as determined by our independent panel of judges,” Cornwell said in a press release. The association operates CampFlorida.com, a travel planning website for campers and RV travelers.

According to the association, Best Park Award recipients must demonstrate high operational standards across staffing, customer service, and overall business practices, reflected in guest reviews and ratings.

Parks are also evaluated on maintenance, amenities, guest services, and sustained guest satisfaction, including occupancy trends. The criteria further consider whether properties have implemented new technology, upgrades, or other improvements that enhance the guest experience.

Nature’s Resort is described as an all-age RV resort featuring 493 full-hookup RV sites and 25 cabin rentals, including one mobile home.

General Manager Jennifer Johnson said the property is positioned as an accessible destination in a high-demand coastal region. “It has a tropical paradise feel, but at a cost where people can afford to be here,” Johnson said.

Located along the Halls River, approximately 90 minutes north of Tampa and St. Petersburg, the resort provides direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and supports boating, fishing, paddling, and sunset viewing activities.

The property includes two swimming pools, one of which opened in February alongside a new splash pad. A WiFi system upgrade was also completed during the same period.

Additional amenities include an on-site bar and grill, a tiki bar with weekend live entertainment, a pickleball court, two dog parks, and rental services for pontoon boats and golf carts.

Recent capital improvements include new roofs on the park office, clubhouse, and marina, as well as freshly painted cabins. Johnson said the resort employs 32 staff members and credited the team’s performance with improved guest feedback.
