The much-awaited 2023 Florida and Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo is just around the corner as it is set to kick off tomorrow, May 9, in beautiful Daytona Beach.
Hosted by the Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association (FRVCA), the event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with the venue having been moved to the Daytona Beach Hilton Oceanfront Resort to accommodate the growing number of attendees.
With over 60,000 sqft. of indoor and outdoor meeting space, over 200 campground attendees will have plenty of room to explore the conference and expo’s offerings.
The event will run for three days, concluding on May 11, and will offer attendees an array of opportunities to learn, connect, and improve their businesses.
The 2023 Florida and Alabama OHCE features hours of educational content, including a keynote address from Gregory Offner, panel discussions, and group discussions, as well as meals and two receptions for networking.
The FRVCA has been hosting this event for several years, and it has always been a great success. This year, the association has once again gone above and beyond in planning and preparation to provide attendees with a valuable and informative experience.
The conference portion will feature multiple sessions covering a wide range of topics related to the outdoor hospitality industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry.
Topics include Emergency Situation Awareness & Preparedness; Structuring an Acquisition, Expansion, or New Development; Increasing Your Presence in Today’s Digital World; Workers Comp Insurance and Insurance Tips; and more.
The Alan R. Wallace “Mark of Excellence” Award will also be presented to members of the industry that have shown unwavering support and commitment to the improvement and growth of the association and the outdoor hospitality industry.
Wallace is a long-time member and supporter of the industry. Per the FRVCA, he has played a huge role in the growth of the association and the industry for over 15 years. Wallace has also developed and operated many first-class RV resort properties in Florida, making him influential in setting high standards and goals for the association.
Another highlight of the event is the expo, which will showcase the latest products and services from over 90 industry suppliers. Attendees will have the chance to meet with vendors and suppliers, see product demonstrations, and explore new products and services that can help improve their campground operations.
Additionally, the event will provide opportunities for attendees to network and connect with industry peers. The association has organized several social events and receptions, where attendees can build relationships and make valuable connections.

Last year’s event saw record attendance, with over 355 people present for the three-day event, including parks from Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Texas, and Michigan.
