In Kampground of America’s 2022 North American Camping Report, the company noted that overlanding might be a popular camping vertical this year, with 46% of respondents saying they want to try this variation of outdoor adventure this year. In next week’s episode of MC Fireside Chats, Rich Schnippel, the founder and president of Encore RV, will join the show to share how this trend is manifested in the adventure trailer manufacturing segment.
Overlanding is another form of camping that has been gaining interest in recent years. When overlanding, campers travel in off-road vehicles to remote locations, where they set up camp for extended periods.
With over two decades of experience in the motorsports/cargo trailer, RV, and marine industry, Schnippel has found success in various areas. Most notably, he has built strong dealer networks supporting products his company manufactures, including adventure trailers.
Schnippel is responsible for designing and developing several award-winning products that have caught the attention of the RV industry. He strives to focus not only on design but on building quality products that outperform the typical RV.
“Today’s buyers are much more educated before making a purchase which has raised their expectations. This realization has created a great opportunity for those companies that choose to focus on building a quality product rather than on pushing quantity,” he said.
During his appearance, Schnippel will also share his insights into the future of the adventure trailer segment of the RV industry along with noted experts in the sector.
Association executives, RV industry members, and more come together virtually every fourth Wednesday of the month for a discussion on MC Fireside Chats.
Recurring guests who will reappear on July 27 include Shane Devenish, the president of the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) and executive director of the Canadian Camping and RV Council (CCRVC); Eleonore Hamm, the president of the RV Dealers Association of Canada (RVDAC), Phil Ingrassia, president of the RV Dealers Association (RVDA); and Kurt Repanshek, the founder and editor-in-chief of National Parks Traveler.
The upcoming episode is sponsored by Campsot Software, a campground management platform both staff and guests love.
CampMap is a web mapping platform company that helps improve guests’ experience and camp management by delivering consistent and easy-to-use digital maps of campsites.
