Voting began Aug. 24 for the RV Industry Association’s 2027 Board of Directors election, with seven candidates competing for three open seats representing RV manufacturers, park model RV manufacturers and suppliers.
The election will determine one representative each for an RV manufacturer seat, a park model RV manufacturer seat and a supplier seat.
Voting will remain open through Sept. 14, with results to be shared with candidates Sept. 15. The elected directors will begin three-year terms Jan. 1, 2027.
The association’s Board of Directors is its highest-level authority and oversees strategy and policies involving standards, marketing, government affairs, industry education, statistical data and association finances.
Voting is conducted by each member company’s official representative. The association said official representatives were contacted by email Aug. 24 wit h instructions for submitting online ballots.
Associate and Manufacturer Representatives do not have voting privileges under the association’s bylaws.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, Ashley Bontrager Lehman of Ember Recreational Vehicles and Greg Wallman of Space Craft MFG are candidates for the RV manufacturer seat. Bontrager Lehman founded Ember in 2021 and serves as its president and CEO. She also serves on the association’s Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee and Governance Committee.
Wallman has owned and served as president of Space Craft MFG since 2018. He has served on the association’s Standards Steering Committee since 2020 and participated in electrical, lithium safety and air-conditioning standards work.
John Tuyo of Champion Homes and Trevor Kropf of Kropf Industries are seeking the park model RV manufacturer seat. Tuyo has served as director of park model sales at Champion Homes since 2023 and has participated in the association’s Park Model Committee since that year. Kropf has served on the association’s board since 2021 and chairs the Campground Coalition.
The supplier candidates are Mike Cheney of Valto Engineered Materials, Mark Howlett of Truma North America and Heather Jenks of Genesis Products.
Cheney has served on the association’s Supplier Committee since 2020 and chaired it for the past two years.
Howlett is president and CEO of Truma North America and serves on multiple industry standards and governance groups, including the association’s Standards Committee and RV-C Subcommittee.
Jenks has served on the association’s Board since 2024 and participates in its Market Information Committee, Government Committee and Campground Coalition.
