Camping World Holdings, Inc., the world’s largest RV dealer, has kicked off 2025 with a major win for its Coleman brand.
According to retail registration data from Statistical Surveys, Inc., Coleman is officially the #1 selling travel trailers in the United States by unit volume through February 2025. This early-year success reflects strong momentum across both new and used RV markets for Camping World.
Based on a press release, Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World, credited the company’s contract manufacturing strategy as a key driver behind the brand’s success.
“Coleman is the #1 selling travel trailers in America year-to-date through February, and the Coleman portfolio represents our most traded-in unit and our most sold used unit,” Lemonis said.
“These lineups give us the ability to work directly with our manufacturing partners to ensure we are meeting the customer where they want to be in terms of both price and payment,” Lemonis added.
This dominance in both the new and pre-owned RV segments is helping fuel Camping World’s continued market share expansion.
The dual performance of the Coleman brand—leading new sales and commanding strong resale demand—has given Camping World an edge in catering to a broad range of RV consumers, from first-time buyers to experienced travelers trading up.
Camping World, based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, operates through a network of RV dealerships and service centers across 43 U.S. states.
The company’s expansive offerings extend beyond vehicle sales, encompassing service, roadside assistance, insurance, and membership programs through its Good Sam brand.
Its integrated approach and nationwide footprint have helped make it a hub for the RV lifestyle.
The early 2025 milestone underscores the increasing consumer appetite for accessible and affordable travel trailer options, with Coleman at the forefront.
This highlights how brand recognition, affordability, and strong resale value are critical factors driving growth in both the new and used markets—especially as more Americans embrace RV travel for both recreation and lifestyle.
