The Biggest Booking Week comes at a time as March reveals heightened booking activity across the Campspot platform, aligning with campers’ anticipation of spring and summer outdoor adventures. The sale aims to help boost campground reservations, especially by promoting park deals to their audience of over 400,000 campers across the US and Canada.
“With last year’s success under our belt, we knew we wanted to help campgrounds kickstart this year’s camping season again, particularly in light of the slight dip in demand we’ve seen in the early part of the year,” Campspot CMO Erin Stender said in a press release.
Campspot reports that the 2023 Biggest Booking Week resulted in a nearly 50% rise in week-over-week bookings on the marketplace for parks that joined the Biggest Booking Sale last year, with a significant 94% of these bookings coming from new customers. Furthermore, parks that did not participate still experienced a 95% year-over-year increase in bookings.
“Our sale is geared toward supporting campgrounds in maximizing their occupancy for the spring and summer seasons and providing campers with a wide array of choices for their outdoor getaways,” Stender added.
For this year’s sale, over 300 campgrounds are participating, offering discounts of up to 30% or more using the code BIG24.
The sale, which runs until March 10, presents an opportunity for campers to plan and book their upcoming trips at a reduced cost. Meanwhile, campgrounds can kickstart reservations for the year ahead.
