USA TODAY has named Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country the top RV campground in the country in its 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, recognizing the Texas resort-style campground as the No. 1 destination among a national list of RV parks and campgrounds.
The rankings were announced May 13 following a four-week public voting period conducted through the USA TODAY Network and 10Best platform.
According to the organization, finalists were selected by USA TODAY 10Best editors and a panel of travel experts before being opened to public voting.
Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country, located along the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas, is owned and operated by Northgate Resorts. The property opened in 2021 and spans more than 450 acres in the Texas Hill Country.
“This recognition belongs to our team and the guests who choose to make memories with us,” Tessa McCrackin, chief marketing officer at Northgate Resorts, said in a press release.
“We set out to build a place where families can trade screens for stars, and where every detail, from the swim-up bar to the goat yoga, earns its place,” McCrackin said. “Hearing that travelers across the country voted us number one is the best possible signal that we’re getting it right.”
The resort combines RV accommodations, luxury cabins and tent camping with resort-style amenities including a water park, swim-up bars, on-site dining, a zipline, an alpine coaster and year-round family programming.
USA TODAY’s 2026 Best RV Campground rankings placed Normandy Farms second, followed by Inn Town Campground in third place.
Additional campgrounds in the top 10 included Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Mill Run, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Pelahatchie, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Luray, Little Arrow Outdoor Resort, Lake Raystown Resort, Spacious Skies Campgrounds Minute Man and Gulf State Park Campground.
According to USA TODAY, the annual 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards recognize travel, hospitality, food, lifestyle and entertainment destinations across the United States through a combination of expert nominations and public voting.
