Blue Water Development announced the acquisition of Santee Lakes KOA Journey, a family-friendly campground located in Santee, South Carolina. The company plans to invest $4 million in upgrades to enhance the property’s amenities and guest experience.
The campground currently offers 167 sites, accommodating tent campers, RV travelers, and cabin guests. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, paddle boating, biking, and exploring nature trails, making it a retreat for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
Situated along the scenic shores of Lake Marion, Santee Lakes KOA Journey is conveniently located off Interstate 95 at Exit 102. Its central position between Florida and New York makes it an appealing stop for travelers, while its proximity to Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina, enhances its accessibility for regional visitors seeking a getaway.
Blue Water’s $4 million investment will focus on enhancing the property’s infrastructure and amenities. Planned improvements include upgrading RV sites, modernizing facilities, and introducing new features to elevate the overall guest experience. The upgrades aim to position Santee Lakes KOA Journey as a standout location along the Interstate 95 corridor.
