AdventureGenie’s Hurricane Relief Initiative Receives Strong Community Support

AdventureGenie, an AI-driven trip-planning service for RV enthusiasts, has successfully partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to mobilize relief initiatives for regions devastated by Hurricane Helene. Through a campaign that garnered strong support from RVers, campgrounds, and industry partners, AdventureGenie’s initiative has provided critical relief to those affected.

This initiative aligns with AdventureGenie’s commitment to community involvement and humanitarian causes. Amanda S. Masters, chief marketing officer at AdventureGenie, explained the motivations behind partnering with Samaritan’s Purse for hurricane relief.

“As you may know, we are headquartered in South Carolina, so we knew we wanted to work with a relief organization that had ties to the Carolinas,” Masters stated. With several team members personally connected to Samaritan’s Purse through volunteer work, the choice was a natural fit. “They could speak directly to their incredible organization,” she added.

Overwhelming Community Support and Contributions

The partnership has seen overwhelming support from the larger RV community, encompassing manufacturers, dealerships, campgrounds, and a range of industry stakeholders. According to Masters, AdventureGenie received “tremendous support, including mentions on podcasts, in emails, on websites, and other shoutouts helping us evangelize the campaign.”

“We have even had individual RVers tell us they will donate directly to Samaritan’s Purse in addition to purchasing a subscription through our website,” she told Modern Campground.

AdventureGenie pledged $10 from each Pro subscription purchased or renewed during October towards Samaritan’s Purse’s relief efforts. This donation structure allows subscribers to support rebuilding efforts while also gaining access to AdventureGenie’s advanced planning features.

“Our partners are also contributing matching or higher amounts,” Masters added.

Samaritan’s Purse mobilized resources across multiple states, including Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Since then, the organization has continued focusing on the hardest-hit areas, deploying resources to meet evolving needs.

While AdventureGenie entrusted Samaritan’s Purse with allocating the funds to the areas in greatest need, it also acknowledges other efforts within the outdoor industry. “We know other industry organizations, such as the OHI Foundation, are seeking donations to assist with campground rebuilding efforts,” Masters noted.

Innovation with Purpose: AI-Driven Travel Tools and Future Philanthropic Plans

AdventureGenie’s core offering, an AI-powered trip planner, is designed to streamline and personalize travel for RVers, campers, and road-trippers. Masters described how the technology makes planning both “fun and exciting, taking away the tedious chore of route plotting.”

Users can input specific preferences, destinations, and activities, resulting in custom itineraries tailored to individual travel styles. AdventureGenie’s Pro plan, which includes GenieMatch, provides compatibility scores for campgrounds based on user profiles, ensuring an enjoyable experience from planning to arrival.

“Recommending campgrounds that fit the RVers’ camping profile delivers a satisfied adventurer, whether it’s a weekend getaway within a few hours’ drive or an extensive trip of a lifetime. AdventureGenie makes it easy. Our goal is for every trip to feel customized, enjoyable, and well-aligned with each user’s unique travel style,” Masters shared.

In addition to AI-generated itineraries, Pro subscribers can save, export, and share their plans, adding layers of flexibility and convenience. The Pro plan also unlocks the GenieWishes feature, enabling users to generate unlimited personalized itineraries based on their unique travel desires.

The company has also looked ahead, outlining plans for new initiatives that align with its humanitarian mission. In an ongoing partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, AdventureGenie will contribute a portion of Pro subscription sales during major holidays like Veterans Day, a move that honors veterans and their families. AdventureGenie also facilitated a dedicated page on the Tunnel to Towers website for those wishing to make additional donations.

A new feature slated for a mid-2025 release also reflects AdventureGenie’s intent to encourage service-oriented travel. Based on user feedback, the company is developing an ‘Along the Route’ Volunteer feature in partnership with RV clubs and volunteer organizations. This service will allow users to engage in volunteer activities as they travel, fostering connections between RVers and the communities they visit.

“We believe giving back is more than a corporate responsibility,” Masters said. “It is an extension of the generosity of the RVing community.”
