Nottingham’s Bell Tent Village Secures £90k Funding, Enhancing Local Tourism and Economy with New Glamping Site

In the lush expanses of Holme Pierrepont Country Park, Nottingham, Bell Tent Village has unfurled a new chapter in glamping, blending the rustic allure of nature with the comforts of well-appointed accommodations.

The company, renowned for supplying a myriad of glamping equipment worldwide, has recently established a glamping site, offering a unique getaway destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The inception of Bell Tent Village was sparked by a family camping trip, where founder Levi Lowther envisioned a sanctuary that melds the serenity of the outdoors with sanitized and comfortable living spaces.

With Levi’s prowess in e-commerce and his wife’s extensive 15-year expertise in managing accommodations and events, this vision was sculpted into a tangible business, offering a distinctive outdoor experience.

Navigating through the financial landscapes to fuel this venture, Bell Tent Village secured a substantial £90k funding, with pivotal support from First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans

The funding, sourced through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) and buttressed by the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS), has been a cornerstone in elevating the facilities of the new glamping site to a premium standard, according to a report by First Enterprise.

The financial infusion is meticulously allocated to establish essential facilities that enhance the glamping experience at Holme Pierrepont. This encompasses the installation of toilets and showers, outfitting the bell tents with requisite fixtures and fittings, and orchestrating the indispensable groundwork, ensuring a seamless blend of nature and luxury for visitors.

Levi Lowther expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support extended by First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans, underscoring that the funding has been instrumental in realizing the glamping site in Nottinghamshire.

The site not only stands as a testament to a unique glamping experience but also as a contributor to the local visitor economy, weaving a network of employment opportunities within the city.

Stefan Nycz, investment manager at First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans, mirrored the enthusiasm, commending Levi’s passion and dedication to his business. The new glamping site at Pierrepoint, he noted, promises a delightful experience for customers, reflecting Levi’s infectious zeal and commitment to offering an unparalleled glamping adventure.

Zooming out to a broader perspective, the visitor accommodation sector, especially glamping, has been identified as a significant contributor to local economies and tourism in the UK. The establishment of glamping sites, such as Bell Tent Village, not only amplifies visitor spending but also fosters job creation, thereby propelling economic growth.

A report revealed that UK-wide sites generate an impressive £9.3 billion in visitor spending, supporting over 170,000 jobs.

In this context, Bell Tent Village not only emerges as a haven for glamping enthusiasts but also as a catalyst in stimulating economic activity and employment, echoing the positive trends observed in the wider UK glamping and camping sector.

The impact of Bell Tent Village extends beyond its picturesque tents and serene landscapes. It intertwines with the local economy, infusing it with vitality and opportunities. Each visitor, enveloped in the comforting embrace of the bell tents, inadvertently contributes to the economic tapestry, weaving a story that transcends beyond a leisurely vacation.
